Privacy Policy for Walls by HYP
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Walls by HYP (package com.hypweb.wallpaper) is an Android app operated by Hypweb Solutions LLP. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can delete it.
Data we collect
- Account identifier: accounts use Google sign-in or an invite-only email login that we create for you. When you sign in, we store your Firebase Authentication user ID. It links your purchases, coin balance, and unlocked wallpapers to your account. We also store a SHA-256 hash of that user ID as an obfuscated account identifier that is sent with purchase requests so Google Play can match purchases to your account.
- Display name: the display name from your Google account, or the name we set on an invite-only email account, stored in your profile.
- Email address: stored by Firebase Authentication for both Google and invite-only email accounts. Invite-only accounts also store a password hash managed by Firebase Authentication; the app never sees your password.
- Purchase history: records of coin pack and tip purchases, including the product ID, quantity, purchase token hash, order ID, and refund status. These are needed to grant coins, detect repeat purchases, and process refunds.
- Coin ledger: entries recording coin credits, unlocks, tips, refunds, and administrative adjustments, so your balance can be verified and audited.
- Entitlements: the list of wallpapers you have unlocked.
Data we do not collect
- No location data.
- No advertising identifier. The app contains no ads.
- No access to your photos, files, or contacts. The app requests no storage or media permissions.
- No contacts, health, or browsing data.
Processors
The app relies on these service providers:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, App Check, Cloud Logging), used to run the app's backend.
- Google Play (Google Play Billing), used to process purchases. Payment details are handled by Google and are not visible to us.
Retention
- Account data (profile, coin balance, entitlements, ledger) is kept while your account is active.
- Financial records are retained after account deletion where required for tax, accounting, and fraud prevention purposes: purchase records (unlinked from your account) and the coin ledger entries for those purchases. These records contain product IDs, amounts, timestamps, and purchase token hashes, but no name, email, or other contact detail, and no client can read them after the account is deleted.
- Deleted account data is removed from active systems, following the deletion process described below.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app: Settings > Account > Delete account. Deletion removes your account data, including your coin balance and entitlements, and signs you out. You can also use the web page at:
